EpicFlics.com (the “App”) is a mobile extension of the EpicFlics website (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and protected when you participate in our gamified media experience.

● Account Identifiers: When you use Third-Party Login (Google or Apple), we receive your name and email address to create your unique player profile.
● Game Progression Data: We track your episode watch thresholds, solved clues, and collected coordinate segments to ensure your progress is synced across the App and website.
● Persistent Identifiers: We use basic device identifiers to ensure account uniqueness and prevent duplicate game entries.
● YouTube API Data: The App uses YouTube API Services to deliver content. We monitor “watch thresholds” (e.g., confirming you viewed an episode) to unlock game clues

2. What We DO NOT Collect

To protect your privacy, EpicFlics explicitly avoids the following:

  • Location Data: We do not access your device’s GPS or precise location services. All “coordinates” used in the App are strictly fictional game elements.
  • Biometrics: We do not collect or store fingerprints or Face ID data. Authentication is handled entirely by your device’s OS.
  • Analytics & Advertising: We do not use third-party analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics) or track your activity across other apps or websites.
  • Financial/KYC Data: No government IDs or credit card details are collected within the App.

  • “Do Not Sell”: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Epic-Quest is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

  1. Privacy Link: Post this text on a dedicated page at epicflics.com/privacy. This link must be provided in the App Store Connect and Google Play Console “Privacy URL” fields.
  2. App Store Privacy Labels: When setting up your “App Privacy” labels, mark Name and Email as “Data Linked to You” and used for “Product Personalization.” Mark everything else as “Not Collected”.
  3. In-App Deletion: Ensure the “Delete Account” button is functional and clearly visible. Apple will reject any app that requires a user to email the developer to delete an account.
  4. YouTube Compliance: Ensure your “About” screen in the app includes a clear notice stating: “This app uses YouTube API Services. By using this app, you agree to the Google Privacy Policy”.
